Project management support – ETS-LLC assists the project manager in preparing project management documents, including, but not limited to project charters, project plans, project status reports, project lessons learned, project closure reports.

Requirements management – ETS-LLC works with the project's customers and collects system requirements for the application being developed.  We document use cases and "as-is" of current processes and model the "to-be" processes.  ETS-LLC facilitates requirements traceability through testing phase, user interface requirements and design and has used Rational Software's RequisitePro for requirements management.

Business analysis and system design – ETS-LLC works with the customers and project stakeholders to improve business processes by using business process reengineering (BPR) or other process improvement methods (including Total Quality Management (TQM) techniques like process flow diagrams, primarily people-coordinate-diagrams aka ‘swim lanes’) to analyze the business processes and document the system design.

Testing management – ETS-LLC assists the business team members in test management by creating test cases and scenarios, and test plans in order to fully testing the business requirements.  This includes using Test Track Pro (TTP), Bugzilla, or other bug tracking used by the organization for coordinating the defect tracking and resolution with the business and technical team members, including tracking which defects were included in new releases. 

Technical writing – ETS-LLC consolidates, refines, and compiles project and system documentation from information provided by organizational requirements and all business and technical team members.  Examples of the types of documents we deliver include, but are not limited to:

• Requirements; system requirements, user interface requirements, use cases
• Design; system design, user interface design
• Test plans
• Risk management plans
• Project turnover documentation
• User manuals
• Incident response plans
• Disaster recovery plans
• Security requirements
• Request for Proposals/Quotations and Qualifications (RFP/RFQQ); also served as the coordinator for all related procurement processes

ETS-LLC prepares written, visual and oral presentation materials for projects, as required.  These often include presentations to be presented to the project’s executive management team or steering committees. 

Function Point Analysis
Barbara has experience in actively and efficiently used Function Point Analysis (FPA) as another tool for documenting a system’s functionality or a project’s scope.  She was a Certified Function Point Specialist (CFPS) for several years, and as a private consultant, she conducted training on this method and assisted organizations in using FPA to understand the functionality and size of their systems.  This information can also be very useful in understanding the productivity and project delivery rates for different applications.  She is not currently a CFPS.
